Ovenstone Studios at The Pittenweem Arts Festival...

Janet Spens, Night Loch

If you're already mapping out your tour of the Pittenweem Arts Festival this weekend, one venue not to be missed (aside from our own of course!) is The Ovenstone Studios!

This year, the studios will showcase six eclectic, must-see exhibitors; Anne Barclay, Kare Goode, Scott Morris, Sarah Ryan, Janet Spens, and Susan Winton.

Just a short jaunt outside Pittenweem, the studios are open daily from 10am to 6pm. There's plenty of parking too!

As always, The Pittenweem Arts Festival is jam-packed with talent at countless studios and venues throughout the village...if you're pushed for time, it can be a challenge choosing who to visit!  So, make the most of seeing the work of so many artists under one roof!  Most exhibitors will be around to meet you too.

Get directions and discover more at Ovenstone Artists - Facebook.   Take a sneak preview of the work on artists on show...

Create Your Own Culinary Art! It's Scotland's Year Of Food & Drink...

Did you know that 2015 is officially the Year Of Food and Drink in Scotland?

Celebrate by getting adventurous in the kitchen!

We love this little ensemble - an Indian chef's twist on local, East Neuk dressed crab from The Fisherman's Larder, beautifully presented on our own Funky Scottish ceramics!

See more on this recipe from chef Saransh Goila via our archives.

Meanwhile, we're feeling pretty adventurous ourselves at Funky Scottish...the essential ingredients for our own little cafe are all coming together! ;) xo

#LoveWins! Summer Of Love 2015...

This year may not be remembered for its sunshine, but look on the bright side...

...2015 has become the 21st century's summer of love!

The symbolic use of rainbows and the hashtag #lovewins has been sweeping across social media in the past week.  This wave of celebration follows a Supreme Court ruling in America that supports the right of all couples - regardless of gender or sexual orientation - to marry in any state in America.

- Justice Kennedy, The Supreme Court

We're delighted to join in these celebrations here at Funky Scottish and hope this landmark decision will continue to create a positive impact across the globe! Love Wins. Eventually. Always. xo
